Hang on to those wool felt scraps you have left over from other projects. That is what was used to make these throw rugs! All my scraps could be used to create this beautiful piece and many more projects we will be adding onto this page throughout the year. Just using "Leftovers".

#101 Santa Fe Throw Rug
( 54" x 31")

Inspired by the Southwest this  beautiful throw rug was made from scraps of wool felts that were left over from various projects! Each piece is a little irregular and looks like it was done without pattern pieces.

In order to keep it on the floor it needed to be heavier in weight , so I sewed together left over jean pant legs ..  For a lighter rug for the wall or the back of the couch just use a homespun backing . And the final touches ,, make yourself a cup of tea and relax and save the tea bag for doppling , that's how we got that aged effect!
