Ponchos are so in right now and so many different fabrics to make them with . Using our wonderful sweatshirts we created the look of a knitted poncho without actually using knitting needles! An embellisher machine with the 7 barbed needles and 5 skeins of yarn is how we did this, by interlocking the fibers from the yarn into the fibers of the authentic pigment dyed sweatshirt they become a part of each other you can even cut through it. You can cut your poncho shape out first or cut it out after the yarn is needle felted in is entirely up to you. (cutting it into a poncho before the yarn is attached saves on the amount of yarn you use) and of course we can't forget those wonderful jean legs to trim it, and if those buttons seem familiar your right they are, I covered the buttons with the leftover sweatshirt pieces and the belt loops from the old pair of jeans as closures! This is warm, stylish, and easy to make. This can be done with an embellishment attachment or by hand with a wooden handle needle felting tool (up to 10 needles) and please don't forget we sell the wonderful sweatshirts also.
