[Home] [Purse] [Applique] [ Sweatshirts] [Machine Embroidery] [Woolfelts] [Penny Rugs] [Dolls] [Order]

A wonderful selection of jacket appliqued with nonwoven woolfelts.  Easy to read quality applique patterns.  We carry the quality sweatshirts that  we use in all of our designs.  They are heavyweight, and ohhh sooo soft inside with a contrasting hue.  In order to save you time our felts are pre-felted so they come ready to use.  Please check out our woolfelts page, and our sweatshirt page.

child's coat
# 125 "Child's Winter Coat & Hat"

Borrowing from the adult patterns the idea of using 2 sweatshirts to create a coat this is a simple basic pattern to follow. Cut up two sweatshirts and put them back together and covering them in the fabric of your choice in this case fleece lined sherpa. The collar becomes the scarf so that way the child can't lose her scarf! Instead of buttons because smaller children have a hard time with them the tabs are Velcro for easy closing and opening. A simple hat and you're done!

Materials Needed:

2 yds. fleece

2 sweatshirts

1 yd , sherpa or fur

woolfelt jacket
# 124  "The Authentic Woucle`"

Okay, I made up the word, it's a play on two words the fabric known as Boucle` and  woolfelts  Woucle`!  And using an authentic pigment dyed  sweatshirt as the lining, the Boucle` was  put over the sweatshirt then the woolfelt appliqués were put on by needlefelting either by hand or an embellishment attachment. I stitched all around the edges to leave the boucle` with a raw edge a very popular look.  Please see information on needlefelting and our sweatshirts

Materials Needed:

3 yds  Boucle

1-authentic pigment sweatshirt

scraps of woolfelts that will coordinate with boucle`

buttons

Felting needles or needle felting tool

Autumn jacket
#108   " Autumn Colors"

One look at this jacket and you know how it got it's name "Autumn Colors ". The authentic pigment shirt we used is one of the new ones they are making  #1941 it has no ribbing on the bottom or sleeves just hemmed it is also a boxier cut and is of the same wonderful quality as the #1975's both serve well for  jackets. Again we have taken the leftover jean pant legs to trim out this jacket and leftover woolfelt scraps. All of the leaves were sewn on just down the centers by machine the pumpkin tops were made from scraps as well and sewn on by machine  and the embroidery work is done by hand. This is an easy to follow pattern and a lot fun, there is a lot of interesting things going on in this particular pattern. Remember we carry the prefelted woolfelts and the sweatshirts just click on the links.

#107   " Little Rosettes"

Oh what a sweet jacket this is.  This is a fast and fun jacket to make.  We used coordinating wool fabrics for the body and sleeves.  The collar and cuffs came from an old denim shirt.  There is no hand appliquéing on this jacket.  I used my sewing machine and pinned on the stems and leaves and ran a sewing line right down the centers.  I left the sides alone so they would not be attached to the jacket it gives it a 3-d look and a chenille look.  The best part is that it's built over an "Authentic Pigment Sweatshirt".  The final touch was covering our own button with the sleeve fabric.

Materials Needed:

Oversized
Sweatshirt of coordinating color

3/4 Yd fabric for sleeves
2 yds fabric for body of jacket

Woolfelt
1/2 yd cypress green
1/3 yd red or barnyard red

Button covers
Old denim shirt
2 smaller buttons for collar

#106  "Northern Exposure"

I love Moose!  This is a great project if you have an old wool blanket laying around or wool fabric or even wool felt.  The lining of this jacket is an "Authentic Pigment Sweatshirt" and we covered the sweatshirt with this old blanket.  The appliques' are wool felts and we finally found a use for all the old jean legs we had laying around by trimming the jacket with them.  Rather than traditional buttons we used overall buckles and gave it a great look!

#104 Garden Party

This jacket is gorgeous and a great pattern to buddy up with a partner.  Our jacket used 3 sweatshirts (can be done with just 2) divided into 3 parts.  We used our scraps of wool felt to applique' with the perle cotton to make the hand embroidered leaves and stems.  Flowers go over the left shoulder and around the right bottom towards the back.  Some patterns name themselves and that was the case with this one - I kept hearing the Ricky Nelson song "I went to a Garden Party:!
