#115  " Old Glory"  Duster

I think we needed a new patriotic jacket and this time it is a duster but looks like a uniform as well. I love this jacket, one of my favorites . Easy to make, beautiful woolfelt colors, the brass buttons and the jean legs  just seemed to be the perfect touches on this masterpiece! Gold tassels of course, what else would do? We have the 13 stars appliquéd in place entirely around the jacket and two large ones on the sleeves. There are two sweatshirts underneath for the lining! It's gorgeous !

#111 " Piney Woods" Duster jacket

This is such a  great jacket , our version of a good "old fashion" duster. This duster was inspired by the TV show Walker Texas Ranger! The duster is made using 2 authentic pigment  sweatshirts  and covering the duster entirely with prefelted woolfelts. The appliques are also woolfelts and jean legs were used to trim it out. You use almost all of the 2 sweatshirts  with the exception of two sleeves but don't throw them out we have attached them to the lower inside to create umbrella pockets!  It's quite a hoot!  Perle cotton was used for hand appliquing, but can be machine appliqued as well.  Machine washable when finished.  Cold water, gentle cycle, tumble dry low.

#113 "Baby it's cold outside" Duster /Long coat

Our third duster, and the most in warmth. The woolfelt we used was a 35% wool blend (rayon) and absolutely breath taking! This was made using 2 authentic pigment sweatshirts and covered entirely with woolfelt and appliqued by hand with perle cotton but can be appliqued by machine. The trim is a white fur with an edge  that does not fray to make it that much easier to deal with. The pencil snowmen are new for us but they just were perfect for this coat. I love this coat! Can be machine washed in cold water, gentle cycle and tumble dry low. We did not add closures but you may certainly do so I think that would look great!

1/4 yd loden green woolfelt
1/4 yd silver grey woolfelt
scraps of  white, copper
4 1/2 yd white sherpa trim  or white fur
